Hank & Mom’s👩👦Excellent Adventures 🤘😜
Started our Saturday intending on a “quick trip” to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum (famous last words🤪) TURNS OUT it’s literally next door to Saguaro National Park 🤨🤭 Who knew!! 🤷♀️🥰
We spent a couple hours exploring the Museum’s aquarium, zoo, botanical gardens, and trails. It’s obvious we were NOT from the area since we were literally dying walking the trails in the 100 degree weather 🥵 We were the only idiots who did not have a metal water bottle covered in stickers 🤪 AND we were stopping at every water station drinking what felt like GALLONS of water that I swear never hit our bodies, but just came directly out of our face 🥴🥵🤣 I may or may not have been looking for a panic button on the side of the water machine 🤔💦🤦♀️🤣 Lesson learned!!! Even if you’re going on a ”short” trip - bring a FULL water bottle!! Arizona is NO joke. I used to make fun of the idiots moving to Montana asking if they needed to buy snow boots for their kids and chains for their cars 🙄 Well, in Arizona… turns out I’M the idiot 🫠🫣🙄🤘🤣🤣🤣🤣
Since Hank and I are always up for an adventure, we meandered up the road to Saguaro National Park 👏👏 At this point we’d had about enough of the sun ☀️ , so after we loaded up on souvenirs, WATER (about a million dollars a bottle 🙄🤦♀️), AND a map 🗺, like any good tourist 🤷♀️😂, we drove the park in luxury with a/c on FULL BLAST, stopping at all the look out points and enjoying the beautiful scenery 🌵⛰ 🦎 🏜
Sunday we went to breakfast and because we had not yet learned our lesson from Saturday, we were going to just ”stop in” to the Children’s Museum before running errands 🫢 FIVE hours later …🤪🤣 We had a BLAST 💥 Climbing the canyons and exploring the caves; driving the train and fighting over who got to pull the whistle and ring the bell 🚂 🔔 while saying “Choo Choo!” (he won, but I put up a good fight 😉😂), who got to drive the fire truck 🚒 (I won, but probably because he was tired of my whining 😂), and who got to save the day in the ambulance 🚑 (he won because he’s always the hero in my book 🦸♂️ 😘); helping the animals at the vet clinic; picking fruit in the wild of the jungle (hands down Hank’s favorite!); and swinging, reading, riding big wheels, & blowing bubbles!!! It was truly a magnificent day 🙌❤️
Why are we in such a hurry to grow up?! Being a kid is WAY more FUN 🤩 Spending time with Hank is like being in my own Never Land ✨💫
Also, just an FYI. No Tank tops for Hank 😂 I knew it was going to be hot, so I put one on him and he kept asking me “where is the rest of my shirt, mom?” so many times that I finally gave up and put them all in the donation box 🤣🤣
Also Also, I took so many photos that about an hour in, whenever I’d say “Hank”, he just turned around with a goofy smile and said “Cheese” 🤣🤣🤣 I’m like, just didn’t want you to fall off the trail, Buddy, but sure! We can take a picture!!! 🙄🤣😘
Sure do love this guy 😍 Can’t wait till next weekend to see where we end up and how much fun we can have 👏👏👏👏
P.s. I was just going to post this when, an hour and forty minutes past his bedtime 🤦♀️ I hear “Mom!! Mom!!” So I make my way to his bed which he has sneakily added an abacus, ten stacking blocks, several books of various shapes and sizes, a flashlight, and a music player 🤦♀️🤦♀️😂, to ask him what he needed and why he was awake 🤨🤔, and he pulls my head down and whispers, “Let’s go to the jungle and pick some fruit” 🥲 THATS a good day, my friends. A good day indeed 💁♀️❤️
