Another successful weekend in the books!

We spent all day Saturday in our Jammie’s at the house because it was raining 🌧 and though everyone down here makes it a huge ordeal, we just jumped on the bandwagon so we didn’t have to get dressed and leave the house all day 🤷‍♀️😂 Seriously though, on Friday it was raining when I left work to pick up Hank and I was supposed to stop at a different place first, so I called and asked if I could email the papers since I was running late, and the lady on the phone is like, “oh, absolutely honey, you don’t want to go out in this weather if you don’t have too” 😳🤣🤣🤣 OK, Lady 👌👍 Clearly you’ve never driven behind a semi on black ice when it’s -37 and blizzarding… on a regular basis. 💁‍♀️🙄🤣 Talk to me about “not coming out” in weather then 🤣🤣

After our lazy Saturday, we got up and went to church ⛪️ I was a little nervous how Hank would do, but he did great! And, he’ll be joining the preschool program in a couple of weeks, so all in all, it was a success!! Especially, if you don’t count the one minor blip where it was dead quiet and he yells, “Hey, Mom. Let’s rock and roll!! Let’s get outta here!!” 😳🤦‍♀️🤣🤣🤣 I’m like, just stare ahead, don’t make eye contact, this too shall pass 🤪🤣🤣🤣

Then, we went to the only restaurant in town that combines Hanks favorite foods - chicken and pancakes 🥞 😍 Where he promptly STOLE my scrambled eggs (which I’m always happy to let him 😉). And, when we got up to use the restroom, they CLEARED our table 🤭 Another great perk of being single, lol.

After the restaurant decided we were done eating, we headed over to Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium 🪐 It’s located on the campus, so we got to see the university, which was neat! All the kids being dropped off and doing their tours 💞 We had a BLAST inside, learning about bugs 🐞, 🪐, and 🪨. Lots of interactive displays!!

And, of course, we finished it all off at the Children’s Museum, where I gave in and bought the membership 🤪 I have a feeling we will be going there a lot… if Hank loves it, then that’s what we’re doing 😍

All in all, another great day spent!!! Soaking up that precious time we never get back 🥰 Can’t wait till next week!!!
